Shell Beach Elementary's annual school auction is scheduled for Saturday, March, 21st and will be held at the Veteran's Hall in Pismo Beach at 5:00 pm. We are looking for about 8-10 highschool volunteers who may still need some community service hours to complete who would like to help with set-up, decorations, serving the food and clean-up. The food will be an assembly line style with each student serving from their assigned dish. The second Tuesday of the month is the Food Distribution day at Nipomo Elementary School. We start organizing at 1:30 and go till about 6:15. If you can help out, please let me know which shift or shifts you'd like to work. We need help with all shifts but particularly a couple of people who are Spanish speaking to help with the 4 to 6 shift.
First shift: 1:30 - 2:30 set-up and clothes sorting
Second shift: 2:00 - 3:00 unloading
Third shift: 2:30 - 4:00 packing
Fourth shift: 4:00 - 6:00 distribution
Fifth shift: 5:15 - 6:15 wrap up

The Nipomo Lions Club needs help with Food Distribution the 4th Tuesday of each month at Dana Elementary School. It starts at 3:30 and ends at 6pm. Students can come and help out by assisting the families with putting the food into a shopping cart and loading it into their cars. [email protected]
