I got the promotion as a crew leader and I have been leading the crew for about four months now. It has been a really good experience. I just got done with a two week fire training and I am now on the CCC/Calfire type two hand crew. It has been a lot of training and I have worked very hard to get on the crew and I am really excited to start my career as a wildland firefighter. My ultimate goal now is to join the forest service and be on a Hot Shot crew, but that is going to take a lot of work so it won’t be for probably another few years.
